First Spring accent manicure!!

Buongiorno ragazze!!

E' entrata ufficialmente la primavera e a Roma il sole splende.

Ero nel mood per una bella manicure per l'occasione e sono andata subito verso un bel lilla/tortora: "You're blushing" di Orly. Volevo poi un bel glitter per realizzare un'accent,e cosa di meglio di "Polka. com" di OPI? E' venuta fuori una bellissima manicure, con due dei miei smalti preferiti.

Ho scritto parecchi articoli sia per "You're blushing" che per "Polka. com", ma ogni volta che li indosso è come se li vedessi per la prima volta e li sottopongo sempre a numerosi scatti... non me ne pento mai. In combinazione questi colori non li avevo mai usati e creano una palette magnifica. 

Fotografarli è una gioia per gli occhi.

Collezione Orly "Mash up": Review & swatches

Ciao ragazze! Ecco un'altra recensione tutta dedicata ad Orly!

Stavolta parliamo della collezione "Mash up", piena di colori e con un paio di tonalità che saranno splendide anche per questo autunno. Quello che adoro della maggior parte delle collezioni di questo brand è proprio la versatilità delle palette di colori, che si adattano a molti caratteri e periodi dell'anno.

Here is a review of the last summer collection by Orly: "Mash up".
This collection has a few shades that are supposed to be summary, but there are some shades that would be awsom this winter and all the year in general... Let's see what I'm talking about.

Ci sono tre smalti dal finish perlato, due creme e un glitter.



We have three shimmery polishes, two creme ones and a glitter.

Ecco prima di tutto il video swatch, così, oltre alle foto, potete vedere i colori nello specifico. Le foto sono sempre le meglio, ma il video swatch aiuta molto nella resa dei colori.

Before to start to show you the photos of the collection, I highly recommend you the video swatch below, that I make for every collection that I review. Photos are great but I think that the video swatch helps a lot to understand the color of the polishes.

PRETTY - UGLY

La prima tonalità che vi voglio far vedere è quella che mi è piaciuta di meno: Pretty Ugly. 

E' un celeste cielo con shimmer blu... splendido nella boccetta. Peccato per la pigmentazione:

troppo liquido. Il risultato della foto è data da due passate dello smalto.

The first shade that I want to show you is "Pretty Ugly". 

The color in itself is gorgeous, actually. It's a sky blue with a deeper blue shimmer... wanderful.

The thing is that it has a not so good pigmentation. The result in this photo below is fron two coats of the color.

CHOREOGRAPHED CHAOS

Oh quanto mi piace questo rosaaa!! L'ho indossato spessissimo e penso che non me ne libererò neanche nella prossima stagione. Non è pigmentatissimo, anche questo con due passate non è completamente coprente, ma la perlescenza blu minimizza molto la cosa e rende questo smalto deliziosamente femminile, alla Barbie.

Oh God only knows how much I like this lovely pink polish... It's not extremely pigmented, but two coats do the job, and the blue shimmer helps a lot to make this polish extra feminine and Barbie alike.

HARMONIOUSMESS

Ecco uno dei miei preferiti... Harmoniousmess, oltre ad avere un nome assolutamente rappresentativo del mio essere ( XD), ha un colore splendido... un lavanda dolcissimo con un pizzico di grigio, che lo rende meraviglioso per tutte le occasioni! Pigmentatissimo e dal finish molto lucido... chic!! 

This is, hands down, one of the best pieces of the collection. It's a lavander with a hint of grey... adore it! This is so chic and unique that makeus this polish suitable for every occasion. The pigmentation is awsom and the finish is extra shiny, even without the topcoat.

SPARKLING GARBAGE

Glitterino olografico strepitosooo!! Ecco il miglior smalto, secondo me, della collezione. La base non è propriamente trasparente, ma ha un sottotono verdino, che non altera il colore sottostante. In ogni caso consiglio di metterlo sopra a un colore che stia bene con quel sottotono, quindi viola/verdi/blu. Non lo metterei sopra a un rosa, ecco. 

L'asciugatura è rapida e l'effetto è wow. Qui nelle foto l'ho indossato sopra Harmoniousmess... I miei due preferiti, insieme.

To me, this is the best polish of the collection. It's a fine holo glitter. The base is not completely clear, but is slightly green. Even if it doesn't change the base color that you might choose, I recommend you to leyer it over a color that goes well with that undertone, like a violet, a green or a blue.

I wouldn't wear it over a pink... but the effect is gorgeous, see by yourself!

MAYHEM MENTALITY

Ecco la tonalità più sgargiante della collezione. Un bell'arancio acceso, quasi fluo. Io per carattere e gusto personale non amo indossare colori così, ma la formulazione è veramente ottima. E' pigmentatissimo (nella foto ho fatto solo una passata e molto lucido.

This os the most summary color of the collection. It's a bright orange, almost a neon color.

To my personal taste, I'm not used to wear this type of color, but I have to admit that the formula is great.

It has a wanderful pigmentation (in the photos below I did just one coat) nd it's extrashiny.

BEAUTIFUL DISASTER

Per ultimo, ma non per importanza, "Beautiful disater", un bellissimo viola perlato. Questo con due passate è coprente e ha un finish lucido. Sulla mia carnagione è bellissimo!

Last, but not least, "Beautiful disaster"... it's a gorgeous purple (mixed with a little blue shimmer... wow *.*) with a perlescent finish.

This is opaque whit two coats and I love the effect that it gives on my skintone!!

Questa è la collezione. Cosa ne pensate? 

Stay tuned perchè tra pochissimo arriva anche quella autunnale... e anche lì ne vedremo delle belle...

Anzi, già che ci siamo vi annuncio che la collezione verrà presentata alle VFNO di Milano e Firenze!

Quest'anno non verrà fatta a Roma... costernazioneeee T_T. Spero di riuscire a fare una capatina a Firenze!!

The name says it all. The concept of the palette is to give to your nails all the freshness of the beautiful season.

Ciao ragazze!!

Oggi voglio recensirvi questa bellissima collezione primaverile di Orly: la "Hope & Freedom Fest".

Un nome che descrive perfettamente lo spirito di questi sei smalti.

Colori freschi, che si intonano perfettamente a queste giornate di caldo primaverile.

Andiamo subito a vedere le foto e a gustarci queste bellissime tonalità. In fondo all'articolo troverete anche il video swatch. Come ho sempre sostenuto, il video swatch dà una visione più autentica del colore e del finish, per quanto le foto oramai siano di indubbia qualità (ringrazio qui la mia nuova Lumix, che mi sta dando soddisfazioni grandissime *_*).

MELODIOUS UTOPIA



The first shade i want to show you is a beautibul "butter yellow" with fine gold and pink glitters.
This is for sure the first yellow i really want to wear. Usually i am a little skeptical, 'cause i love this color, but my complection... mmm, not so much.
I recommend the shade to girls who have darker features.
This nail polish is not complitely opaque with two coats, but the creamy formula and the cute glitter hide it really well (as you can see from the photo ^^)



La prima tonalità che voglio mostrarvi è un bel giallo "burro" con glitterini oro e rosa.
Questo è letteralmente il primo giallo che ho avuto subito la voglia di indossare. Di solito sono un po' scettica con i gialli, perchè io li adoro, ma la mia carnagione lattea un po' meno. In ogni caso consiglio molto questo colore a chi ha la carnagione più scura.
Non è del tutto coprente con due passate, ma la formula è cremosa al punto giusto e con i glitterini non si nota moltissimo.

PEACEFUL OPPOSITION

Ok... this shade is THE BOMB!! 

Don't judge the color from the bottle, this is THE spring nude. A soft milky shade with silver sparkles? Yes please. I got so many compliments on it, and i perfectly know why.

I don't know, there is something magical in this nail polish XD. It is simple and original at the same time. Classic with an edge. Love it.

The formula is "gel.like", and it lasts forever. It stayed on my nails for 10 days.

And plus... it is extra shiny!! Even without the top-coat!

Ohhh... be'... questo è il pezzo forte della collezione, a mio parere.

E' la tonalità che ho indossato maggiormente, con grandi complimenti di tutti (donne e uomini... attention please XD). Apparentemente è un bianco latteo/grigiolino che, se non fosse per il glitter argentato, dalla boccetta non rende un granchè. Infatti, di tutte le boccette, questa era quella che mi ha attiato di meno... ci credete? Una volta messo sulle unghie... meraviglia!! Sulle unghie risulta uno splendido nude, non coprente, tipo french, con una consistenza gel splendida. Lucidissimo e di rapida asciugatura, grazie al glitter è durato tantissimo sulle mie mani: 10 giorni perfetto! 

Approvato in pieno, è uno smalto che consiglio a tutte! Pensavo che una tonalità così venisse un po' "rovinata" dal glitter, che l'avrebbe resa meno adatta a situazioni formali... niente di più sbagliato! 

L'effetto complessivo acquista invece una luminosità che non avrebbe senza il glitter e anche in situazioni mooolto formali ho ricevuto molti complimento. Love love love.

COACHELLA DWELLER

This interesting pastel shade of green doesn't love my complection -_-'. As mush as i adore this delicate green, i see it better on a darker skin. The formula is very good. Opaque with two coats, this nail polish is very shiny in itself, without the topcoat.

Un verde pistacchio che adoro... ma sulla mia pelle non rende molto. Su una pelle più scura starà sicuramente meglio. E' un punto di verde molto interessante, dalla formulazione splendida. Perfettamente coprente in due passate, molto lucido anche senza top coat.

BOHO BONNET

I adore this nail polish! With the "peaceful opposition", this is the best shade in the collection.

I've always called this tipe of color "carta da zucchero", wich in italian means a shade of grey mixed with a hint of blue and purple. This is a unique shade that i've always loved.

The formula is opaque with just one coat (as you can see in the photo) and it is really shiny. *_*

Bello bellissimo. Lo adoro. E' una tonalità all'apparenza poco primaverile ma che mi sono ritrovata ad indossare spessissimo. E' un grigio con una punta di azzurro e una punta di lavanda. Oh god... lo adoro!

Io adoro in generale tutti i carta da zucchero e questa tonalità (un po' più complessa del carta da zucchero a dir la verità) non è da meno. 

Molto coprente (nella foto ho fatto una sola passata) e molto lucido. 

10 e lode <3.

HIGH ON HOPE

Beautiful dark grey/blu with gorgeous blue, purple and silver glitters. Oh my... so pretty on the nails.

The formula is good: opaque with two coats, but it is not really shiny. I had to use a top coat to make the beautiful glitter pop.

Bellissimo grigio scuro/blu... anche questa è una tonalità molto complessa, tempestata di glitterini viola, blu e argento... un gioiellino.

Buona formula (coprente con due passate). 

Non molto lucido "al naturale": per renderlo tale ho usato un top coat.

ELATION GENERATION

Last but not least... a beautiful watermelon color with the preittiest holographic glitter in it.

This shade screams spring and summer as well. This will be the must nail polish for the season... or, at least, it will be for me ^^. Good "gel-like" formula, it is opaque with two coats and it needs a good top coat to enance the glitter. The color lasts FOREVER (12 days on me... in perfect condition, i mean... yes!)

Per ultimo ma non per importanza... un bellissimo rosa/corallo chiaro che farà impazzire tutte. 

Infatti già il colore di per sé è bello... mettici anche il glitter olografico e crei un fenomeno di stagione.

E' un Must, già lo so. Splendida anche la formula gel e la coprenza. Parliamo della durata? 12 giorni perfetto O_O... possiamo essere soddisfatte, no? XD
