Beauty essentials: makeup

Good morning beauties,

here is a quick post to show you what I carry with me when I have to travel. 

Concerning makeup, we have to bring essential multipurpose items... so, let's get into my faves.

Buongiorno bellezze,
ecco un post veloce per farvi vedere quali prodotti di makeup porto con me quando viaggio.
Non amo viaggiare pesante, ma non voglio neanche rinunciare a un minimo di necessaire, quindi vediamo subito i miei preferiti.

BASE

As a base, I always use a sunscreen lotion, no matter the period of the year. I have very fair skin, so I have to be careful with it. I use the Ultra-Light daily UV defense by Kiehl's, that I love. I already wrote a complete review about this product, and you can read it here, if you haven't already.

Come base metto sempre la protezione solare. Anche se a Milano (yep... sono a Milano) di luce solare praticamente non ce n'è... e infatti non sono neanche quarantotto ore che sono qui e già mi manca il sole di Roma. In ogni caso amo mettere la protezione solare per il viso, perchè da quando ne faccio un uso regolare la mia pelle ha migliorato moltissimo d'aspetto. Avendo la pelle chiarissima devo stare attenta e averne una certa cura a prescindere dalla stagione.

Uso la Ultra Light Daily UV Defense di Kiehl's, di cui ho già scritto una review accurata qui.

FACE

For my face, I use a simple BB cream, that has not a heavy coverage and it works as a moisurizer too.

I use the Garnier BB Cream (the normal-to-oily skin one). I'm currently in Milan, and here the humidity is insane, so an anti-shine formula is the best solution.

Per il viso, uso una semplice BB Cream, che non è troppo coprente e funziona anche come idratante, così risparmio tempo. Uso quella della Garnier, nella versione per pelli miste/grasse. Non ho la pelle particolarmente grassa, ma  Milano c'è un'umidità pazzesca, quindi mi serve un prodotto che limiti l'effetto lucido.

EYES

For the eyes I usually choose Satin Taupe by MAC (it's a must). For mascara I'm currently using the Luxurious lashes by KIKO. I'm texting it e I'm really enjoying it, it's a good mascara... I hope it doesn't dry quickly as other mascaras from the same brand do.

Per gli occhi la mia scelta cade sull'immortale Satin Taupe di MAC, e pe ril mascara attualmente sto usando il Luxurious lashes di KIKO. Lo sto provando da un po' e devo dire che non è per niente male. Speriamo non si secchi subito come altri della KIKO che ho provato. Vi farò sapere.

BLUSH

For my cheeks I chose to rock a simple mauve color by Inglot, the n. 55. It's a rosy mat color that suits a lot of skin tones and it's really natural looking.

Per il blush ho scelto di portare l'Inglot n. 55: un rosa malva opaco. Molto naturale ed è adatto a molte carnagioni. 

BRUSHES

On the left side of the photo you can see the brush set I bought this year at the Cosmoprof of Bologna (is a professional event similar to the IMATS). I carry it in the Neve Cosmetics brush holder. Both the brush set and the brush holder are exact dupes for the Sigma brush kit.

Quello che vedete sulla sinistra della foto è il brush set acquistato quest' anno al Cosmoprof di Bologna  (molto simile al set della Sigma, se non identico), portato nel brush holder della Neve Cosmetics, che è una meraviglia quando si deve viaggiare.
