A day with: Laura Mercier

Hi girls,

today's post is dedicated to a very well known brand: Laura Mercier. Here in Italy is totally new, but I know the quality of some of the products from my "collegues" in USA.

When the brand contacted me to visit the counter in the center of Rome I was really excited.

I was welcomed by the kind Gianna, who brought me thought the Laura Mercier world.

The concept of the brand is totally my style. Laura Mercier is all about wearable and elegant makeup.

L'articolo di oggi sarà dedicato a un brand molto conosciuto oltreoceano: Laura Mercier. Qui in Italia è stato importato da poco, lo conoscevo di fama grazie alle mie "colleghe" blogger americane. Conoscendo la fama, quando mi hanno invitato a conoscere il brand Laura Mercier "dal vivo", a Roma, ne sono stata felicissima. Sapevo che a Roma ci fosse un corner, ma non avevo mai avuto l'occasione di vedere e testare i prodotti dal vivo.

As you can see in first photos, Laura Mercier is not only makeup, but body care too. It has the most luxurious bath products, and some interesting products for the face. I'm currently considering buying the honey bath that everyone is raving about. Maybe I'll make myself a cute self-christmas present ^^.

Come potete vedere dalle prime foto, Laura Mercier non è soltanto makeup, ma anche cura del corpo. Da tempo sto considerando l'acquisto dell'Honey bath, bagnoschiuma super cremoso al miele, per il quale le ragazze in America vanno pazze (e a giudicare dal profumo, ne hanno ben donde).

Penso proprio che mi farò in questo modo un bel auto-regalo di Natale ^^.

Maybe you already know it, but Laura Mercier is a talented makeup artist who make her passion into a business, creating her own makeup and skin care line. Every single product is projected and approved by her, sharing her experience in the field.

Laura Mercier è una makeup artist di fama mondiale che ha deciso di condividere la sua esperienza nel campo creando una linea di makeup e skin care. Ogni prodotto è progettato, creato e testato da lei.

The absolute most raved product of her is the "secret camouflage", a potent concealer that provides an HD proof complexion. The kind Makeup artist Gianna made a Laura Mercier look on me, and she used the secret camouflage as the concealer.

I have to admit that with all the stress due to the final graduation and my new job, my skin tends to break out quite a lot. Just a tiny amount of the secret camouflage made all the mess disappear... awsom.

Il prodotto in assoluto più chiacchierato e, direi, "osannato", è il "Secret camouflage": un correttore molto potente che regala alla pelle un look a prova di HD.

Gianna, la gentilissima e bravissima makeup artist del counter laura Mercier mi ha non solo introdotto al concept del brand, ma ha anche creato su di me il look in stile Laura Mercier.

Really simple, but effective. She put an illuminating base, called "radiance", to provide a dewy and healthy looking base; a tiny bit of the Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 by Laura Mercier in "nude", and the secret camouflage where needed.

In the photo below, a shot of some other products she used:

The eyelid primer, the cream eyeshadow, the powder eyeshadow in "Kir royal", blush in "Violet Orchid" and the highlighter for the cheekbones.

Come potete vedere è semplice, ma d'effetto. E' decisamente il mio stile. Il fulcro del concept sta nel creare una base perfetta e di usare colori tenui, eleganti per dare risalto alle proprie caratteristiche senza stravolgere con look stravaganti.

Ha usato su di me una base illuminante nella tonalità "radiance"; la Tinted Moisturizer in "nude" e il secret camouflage dove serviva (e serviva... visto che la mia pelle in questo periodo mi fa più di un dispetto, ribellandosi allo stress).

Nella foto qui sotto ho fotografato gli altri prodotti usati:

Il primer occhi, un ombretto in crema in una tonalità tortora, un ombretto in cialda nella tonalità "Kir royal",blush in "Violet Orchid" e un illuminante per gli zigomi.

Of course I couldn't make photos of myself while Gianna was working on me, so I reported the work done on the kind Sara... Thank you!

Ovviamente non potevo fotografarmi per immortalare il lavoro che Gianna stava facendo su di me, quindi ho documentato il lavoro fatto sulla carinissima Sara, che si è gentilmente prestata per le foto... grazie! In questo modo ho anche un altro esempio di trucco in stile Laura.

As you can see from the result, this is kind of a "perfecting makeup": it's all about make your features stand out, without cover your beauty or change your face harmony.

COme potete vedere dal risultato finale, il fulcro è nel look "no makeup - makeup".

Della serie: il trucco c'è, ma non si deve vedere, o meglio, non deve essere evidente. Deve mettere in risalto i punti forte del viso senza stravolgere.
